More than a showroom

…a permanent space where you can walk in, touch the product, and see what a full Gebesa project actually looks like.

1x

The Gebesa Experience Center is now open at 550 Bond St, Lincolnshire, Illinois. It’s an exclusive, dedicated space inside a multi-brand A&D showroom — and it represents something we’ve been working toward for a long time.

For years, conversations with architects, designers, and procurement teams in the US kept running into the same question: Where can I see the product? Catalogs and renders are useful, but in the contract furniture market, they only go so far. If a specifier can’t walk into a room, touch the finishes, and sit in the chair, building trust takes twice as long.

This space changes that. It’s permanent, it’s fully installed, and it’s open for visits Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Not a trade show booth. Not a temporary pop-up. A place you can come back to.

This new space is designed not only to showcase products, but to strengthen visibility, build credibility, and create closer connections within the market. It reflects Gebesa’s commitment to growing beyond borders with a stronger local presence, a more tangible brand experience, and a long-term vision for the opportunities ahead in the U.S. and Canada.

Physical presence = real credibility in the market

In the US contract furniture ecosystem there is an unwritten rule:
If you can’t touch the product, it doesn’t exist.

This Gebesa Experience Center is not just a display point. It is a complete, integrated office furniture solutions you can see and specify on-site; and a long-term commitment to corporate and commercial projects in North America.

For interior designers, architects, dealers, and corporate procurement teams, this space is a place to build trust, test solutions, and work together on project-specific applications — without having to rely on samples shipped from Mexico.

For interior designers, architects, dealers, and corporate procurement teams in the US and Canada, this space becomes a tangible extension of the brand and a place to build trust, test solutions, and co-create project-specific applications.

Why Lincolnshire: being close to decision-makers

The location is no accident.
Lincolnshire is part of one of the most dynamic business areas in the greater Chicago region, surrounded by corporate activity, influential companies, and key decision-makers. Its proximity to one of North America’s most important commercial markets makes it a strategic setting for a brand looking to strengthen its presence and relevance in the United States.  If you work in contract furniture specification in the Midwest, you’ve probably driven through this area more than once.

From a strategic perspective, this location allows Gebesa to be closer to the conversations, connections, and opportunities that help drive growth in regional and cross-border projects.

A showroom that tells a complete workplace story

Gebesa opens in Chicago: a floor of panel workstations under an exposed black ceiling, with a suspended ceiling cloud and cylinder pendants

We didn’t set up a single desk and call it a showroom. The space is designed as a walk-through: each zone showcases a different workplace scenario, from lounge to open office to private suites. The point is simple — show that Gebesa has a solution for the entire floor, not just one corner of it.

Installed zones:

Lounge areas: spaces designed for collaboration, informal meetings, and brand experience.

Open office & benching: high-density, efficient layouts for hybrid and agile teams.

Private offices: functional, ergonomic, and executive configurations that balance presence and comfort.

The key message for designers and specifiers: Gebesa doesn’t just sell individual pieces. Gebesa designs complete floors and integrated environments.

What you can experience inside the space

Gebesa Experience Center Chicago: three furniture modules on a grey band, a workstation cluster, a high table with stools and an L-desk with credenza

The Experience Center brings together multiple product lines and configurations that reflect Gebesa’s technical and aesthetic range for workplace projects in the US and Canada:

  • Elite & Synergy zones: panel systems, premium finishes, and executive solutions for leadership and focus spaces.
Two different panel systems — Elite and Synergy — both with Gallery Panels and smoked glass, paired with Ascend desking and G-Connect credenzas. Having them side by side means specifiers can compare options during the same visit.
  • Private offices: Ascend with melamine base and full Gebesa accessories (shelving, tackable screen) in one room; G-Connect with Venti seating in another. Two typologies, two budgets, both spec-ready.
  • Benching zone: modular benching and workstation systems for large teams and flexible seating strategies. Ascend Benching with privacy screens and pedestals — the kind of layout you’d see in a tech company or a consulting firm that needs to seat large teams efficiently.
  • Balam zone: This is where things shift; lounge + collaboration, featuring premium European-inspired pieces with a hospitality feel. On this zone you have Balam lounge table, three Bliss side tables, and Interstuhl Shuffle seating.

Gebesa is the exclusive distributor of Interstuhl in the United States, so this zone shows what happens when Mexican manufacturing meets European ergonomic design.

For the A&D community, this means you can see firsthand how Gebesa blends its manufacturing strength with global design references — all ready for North American codes, standards, and performance expectations.

What’s next for Gebesa in the US and Canada

This Experience Center is a starting point, not a finish line. From this base in the Chicago area, Gebesa is positioned to grow its presence across the United States and Canada — bringing the same manufacturing capacity, design quality, and project support that have defined the brand for over 50 years in Mexico.

For organizations looking for a reliable manufacturing partner — whether for a single location or a multi-site rollout — this space is proof of what Gebesa can deliver. The scale, the product range, and the commitment to see a project through from the first conversation to the final installation.

The team behind the Experience Center

ThisA space like this doesn’t come together on its own. Three people were on the ground to make the installation happen — a team that literally crossed borders to get it done:

  • Mark Stackle — VP of Sales
  • Alan Reza — Product Learning Manager
  • Jim Thompson — Gebesa Representative, Principal at Ascend Group

Mark and Alan traveled from Mexico to Lincolnshire to personally oversee the setup. Jim, who’s been a key commercial ally for Gebesa in the US market, coordinated the local side. Between the three of them, the space went from an empty room to a finished showroom.

After walking through the completed installation, Jim Thompson said the space looked spectacular. Coming from someone who knows the US contract furniture market inside out — and who’s walked through his share of showrooms — that kind of reaction says something about the level of execution.
