At Gebesa, we are proud to have helped outfit the offices of a well-known Japanese company with global reach. The company manufactures and sells heavy machinery for the construction, mining, forestry, and industrial sectors, and also produces diesel engines and industrial equipment. It also provides specialized support and service to its customers.

In 2025, the company opened its service office in La Laguna, specifically in the municipality of Torreón, Coahuila, in Mexico, and trusted Gebesa to transform its workspaces.

Workspaces designed by Gebesa: newly installed blue panels with glass toppers, next to a beige and black side credenza

Synergy cubicles at a Japanese multinational in Torreón: gray L-shaped desks with blue panels and pedestals with cushioned tops

What did the client need?

The building selected for the operation had two floors and an open floor plan with no private offices. The challenge was to design and furnish areas that met different needs:

  • Upper floor: private cubicles and meeting rooms.
  • Ground floor: reception, open administrative area, and another meeting room.
  • Additional spaces: lunchroom, locker room, break room, and training room.

The entire project had to be completed with modern, functional furniture aligned with the brand’s identity.

Our proposal

Sales advisor Gerardo Mata presented a complete proposal that balanced aesthetics, ergonomics, and functionality:

Gebesa IKA tables and chairs: training room with folding tables on casters, black stacking chairs, and a flip chart at the front
  • Open administrative area: Bench Start tables in a double-run configuration for two users, fabric front screens, Ascend mobile pedestals with cushions, and Indi semi-executive chairs.
  • Cubicles: mixed Synergy panels for greater privacy, Prime executive desk sets that convey a sober, professional look, Mesh executive seating for users, and Indi guest chairs.
  • Reception: Prime straight reception counter paired with an Indi semi-executive chair.
  • Lunchroom: Break tables with square tops, Rewind chairs, and a kitchenette custom-built to the client’s requirements.
  • Training room: Ika tables and chairs for dynamic, flexible use, an Ascend desk for the presenter, and a Prime credenza for storage.
  • Meeting rooms: cubicles defined by Synergy panels, straight and round configurable G-Connect tables, plus Ika chairs.
  • Locker room: single-door metal lockers, Discovery benches, and a Space Divider to separate this area from the break room.
  • Break room: Comfort sofas and a Kalia side table.

The result

The result was a functional, modern corporate space that meets the standards of a multinational company. The strategic layout of each area made the most of the available square meters, providing comfort, ergonomics, and a contemporary image that reflects the strength of the brand.

The client’s satisfaction on seeing its offices ready for operation was the best measure of the project’s success. Today the company has a professional environment that not only conveys modernity and innovation but also strengthens the brand’s presence in the region and builds trust among customers, partners, and employees.

For Gebesa, being part of this new chapter was also a source of great satisfaction. We thank the client for the trust it placed in us by letting us collaborate on this project, and we look forward to more projects together, in Mexico and beyond.
